The Award Ceremony for the most successful elementary and secondary schools of Municipalities in the City of Belgrade took place in the Ceremonial Hall of the Old Court, Assembly of the City of Belgrade, on December 6, 2019. It was organized by the Belgrade Association for School Sports, with the support of the City Secretariat for Sport and Youth, for schools that participated in school sports competitions in 2018/2019. In the opening ceremony, the Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Mr Goran Vesić held a speech. He spoke about the importance of playing sports and involving as many school-age children in sports activities. Secretary of State at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Mr Predrag Peruničić also attended the event.
The awards and plaques to the principals and teachers of the best elementary and secondary schools were formally presented by the City Secretary for sports and youth of the City of Belgrade Dragana Belojevic and President of the Association for School Sports of Serbia Željko Tanasković.
The presence of student reporters from elementary school also contributed to the unique atmosphere of this event.
After the awards and recognitions, the Belgrade Association for School Sports organized a cocktail party for everyone present.
